We stood out:
Perhaps the most special, photogenic, innovative coat of the season. Quiet luxury as a way of life. When I first saw the black coat from The Row, named “Holmes”, I thought it looked like a tender hug. Some clothes have this power. They are designed that way. They have patterns and fabrics, along with textures, that give you the feeling that they are protecting you, hugging you, warming you, almost whispering to you. And that’s how the ultimate wool coat was born with 50 shades of black, and additional layering on the sleeves to create the illusion of two different styles coexisting in a timeless piece of our wardrobe. The high collar also protects our neck, while the silk lining is our little secret. I’m thinking of wearing it with white, for the light, and the alibi, probably not with l oafers, which would be the first choice but with high heeled boots. For quiet luxury that is sassy.

We kept:
A classic bag with history, emotion, strict structure, past, now and present. And this is how the Gucci ” Diana “, a mini version, a much-photographed tote that was first presented in 1991 and has since evolved into an iconic accessory, gets a second life. Leather, in a square shape, with the characteristic bamboo handles, the “stamp” of the house since 1947 and the double, of course , G. It holds our cell phone, our powder and our keys. Maybe a mini perfume, a lipstick, a mini wallet, a miniature agenda with a tiny pen. To write down everything we don’t want to forget, no more lists of everything we shouldn’t forget to do but goals, desires, dreams, beautiful moments, diary entries, for now and then. Mini memories ? Maxi confessions.

We tried:
A watch that is a trademark of the historic house for those who know its history. I remember when I was still a journalism student in London, I had given myself the classic Hermes watch , with the orange strap and lock. It helped me to be consistent in my work, at the University, in all the things that were necessary at the time. And now that I have discovered from the Hermès Timepieces series , the stainless steel Kelly found as a detail in classic bags and unexpected accessories, I have found another version of my favorite lock, always with intense symbolism, made in the heart of Swiss watchmaking. The luminous mother-of-pearl facet, which, hanging from a detachable clasp, can also be interchanged with the accompanying Clochette leather strap and worn as a necklace. I’ve always liked objects that get a second use, they challenge you for another reading. Can we capture time in a padlock? We can try it.

We imagined :
A piece of jewelry that we wear and don’t want to change. Necklaces that become one with our skin, our habits and our everyday life are beautiful, and that’s how I singled out a Lariat pendant from Myrto Anastasopoulou, and the Starry night collection from Myrto fine jewels , to remember the power that the diamonds, in any shade, in any size, if they claim exclusivity, if they are single or many, if they hang around our necks, lower, if they dominate our ears, wrists and fingers. There are jewels that you want to admire in their box. And others that you try on once and then forget to take them off. As if they were waiting for you to tell you their story. And then, one starry night, you made a wish and it came true. Once upon a time.
