Japan’s Wave The New Designer Evolution Of The Fashion World

The Japan fashion week organizations funding Paris fashion showroom each year spread a stint for Tokyo-based brands. Joyce Chung explained that “Japanese designer talent is nothing if not polarised, it’s a bigger pool, so some don’t like it, but we love it.” The Japan-Paris route went for Junya Watanabe’s Paris debut in the 1990s with Tokyo building the European fashion capital market. Introducing them to the LMVH Prize which took off the careers of Masayuki Ino and Tomo Koizumi. In other words, the Paris fashion market was financed and created by Tokyo.
