Crocheted, with bows, ruffles or contrasting combinations
Crochet
An old new familiar swimsuit trend that we see time and time again. “You can find a set of swimsuit plus a cape or a spacious top, crocheted, or limit yourself to just a beach minidress. Or take a knitted top and a bottom with a different texture – there are many options,” says stylist Charlotte Loves.
From sparkling glitter and shimmering metallics to soft velvet, these unexpected textures are fun to play with and literally shine by the pool. “Buy several sets and combine them periodically with each other – you will get an interesting effect. Just make sure that the colors are either contrasting or close in tone and shade,” explains Charlotte.
Bikini with Ruffles
Feel confident and feminine in frill and ruffle bikinis, perfect for adding a casual sensibility to your beach looks. “Simply throw on denim shorts or a sarong and sandals and you’ll go from pool to bar with ease,” adds the stylist.
Seashells And Bows
“They can be either in prints or literally sewn onto a bikini – bows can be worn anywhere, there cannot be too many of them, they are large, huge, small and miniature. Seashells can be either real or made of plastic, metal – even crocheted ones look great in the decor of swimsuits,” Charlotte assures.
Contrasting colors
To create a simple but effective look, you can choose items with bold contrasting finishes – they always look expensive, flattering and interesting. “And if you skillfully use contrast, you can hide some imperfections in the figure,” adds Charlotte.
