Charles Melton went to his limits for a sex scene in the drama “May December”. He slipped into a prosthetic penis for several hours.
Actor Charles Melton (32) is currently impressing with his role in the drama “May December”. The Netflix film is about the married couple Gracie (Julianne Moore) and Joe Yoo (Charles Melton), who have a dark past. The two come under pressure when actress Elizabeth (Natalie Portman) begins researching a film about them. For his role, Melton pushed himself to his physical limits.
In the film there is a sex scene between him and Natalie Portman. There’s a pretty explicit look at Melton’s genitals. In an interview with Variety , he reveals that it is a prosthesis. “There was some discussion about the prosthesis and what was realistic and what wasn’t,” the American told Netflix. The director, Todd Haynes, and Natalie Portman discussed the scene with him, making the shoot enjoyable for everyone involved.
It was still exhausting for Charles. “I had to wear the prosthesis for nine hours that day,” he reveals. Since he couldn’t go to the toilet during the time, he didn’t drink anything the night before or the morning of the shoot.
