Neubauer Artists revealed on Tuesday, August 20, the first short and poetic teaser of the most anticipated romantic film of the fall is enough to create impatience among romance fans. Gilles Lellouche’s next feature film, L’Amour ouf promises to be as intense as it is electrifying.
L’Amour ouf was screened in official competition last May at the Cannes Film Festival. The release with the premiere on October 16. This is the second film directed solo by Gilles Lellouche after Le Grand bain (4.2 million admissions) who had already co-written Narco in 2004 and Les Infidèles in 2012.
L’Amour ouf is without a doubt the French film event of this end of the year. In theaters in less than two months, this romantic drama has just unveiled its first trailer, and one thing is sure, Adèle Exarchopoulos and François Civil are going to dazzle us.

In L’Amour Ouf, a romantic drama directed by Gilles Lellouche mixing romance, violence and emotion, we dive into the love story of Jackie and Clotaire, two teenagers who are complete opposites. We are then in the 80s, in the north of France.
While she is a model high school student from the wealthy neighborhoods, he was born into a working-class family, and is far from liking to linger on the school benches, preferring the company of the docks of the port to that of studies. If nothing destined them to meet, one day, their paths cross, and it is the explosion, love at first sight , love at first sight. But Clotaire is suddenly sent to prison for twelve years, far from Jackie.

If it is so anticipated, it is because L’Amour ouf, in addition to being a French film, has a renowned cast. Headlining this dramatic romance, we find the darling of the French, namely François Civil, recently seen in The Three Musketeers and the feel good series Fiasco. The actor will give the reply to Adèle Exarchopoulos, who we could see on screen in 2023 in the Netflix series Voleuses.
As for the rest of the cast of L’Amour ouf, the latter is made up of other talented actors, namely Mallory Wanecque , noticed in the French comedy Comme un prince, Malik Frikah , spotted in the historical drama Apaches, but also Raphaël Quenard , Alain Chabat, Vincent Lacoste or even Jean-Pascal Zadi and Élodie Bouchez.
