The film star had to undress again 26 years after filming the iconic scene from the film “Titanic”.

The film star had to go naked again 26 years after filming the iconic scene from the film “Titanic”. This time, the 47-year-old actress embodied the image of correspondent Elizabeth Lee Miller in the biographical drama “Lee.”

In one scene, the heroine Kate relaxes on the beach with her future husband Roland Penrose, artist Man Ray, poet Paul Eluard, his wife Nush and model Adi Fidelin. Winslet had to appear topless. The film star agreed with the director’s demands, despite the embarrassment. This became a serious test for her due to complexes about her figure.

I had to be damn brave to let my body be the weakest version of itself and not be embarrassed about it. People on our team would say, “You could just sit down for a while.” And I would answer: “Why? Because of the piece of flesh that you see? No, that’s exactly how it will be,” Kate opened up.

Winslet said that over the years of working in films, she learned to accept her body with all its features. Although it was difficult for her not to react to criticism. The star does not fundamentally try to avoid filming erotic scenes.

I always have to play everything for real. I know better than to waste precious energy criticizing my physical self. I think it’s better for any woman to just say, “I believe in myself.” It doesn’t matter what other people think. This is who I am, let’s get down to business,” the actress emphasized.

The mother of many children believes that the film industry has changed its attitude towards women. According to Kate, young actresses have more opportunities.

Young actresses are not afraid of anything now. I’m so proud of it. All this nonsense, this struggle, the fact that I used my voice for many years, they often pointed fingers at me and laughed at me – they don’t care! It was worth it. Because culture is changing in ways I couldn’t even imagine in my 20s,” George V Magazine quotes Winslet.

Let us remember that in 1997, Kate Winslet played one of the most important roles in her life . At that time, the 22-year-old actress made her debut in the film Titanic directed by James Cameron. Immediately after the film was released, viewers began to discuss the figure of the young actress. Kate did not expect such a reaction to her role in a romantic drama. Many felt that her figure was not good enough for the leading female role.
