Sony Pictures has dropped a sleek new trailer for ‘Crime 101,’ teasing a sun-scorched, high-stakes thriller that glides between precision crime and existential reckoning.
That pursuit brings him into the orbit of a disillusioned insurance broker (Halle Berry), a woman standing at her own personal crossroads. Their collision feels less like chance and more like inevitability, as both characters weigh escape, risk, and reinvention in a city built on reinvention’s broken promises.
Meanwhile, a relentless detective (Mark Ruffalo), convinced he’s cracked the pattern behind the robberies, tightens the net. Each move sharpens the tension, blurring the line between hunter and hunted as the heist draws closer and the consequences grow heavier. By the time the pieces fall into place, all three are forced to confront life-defining choices, with no possibility of turning back.
The film also boasts a formidable supporting cast, including Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Nick Nolte.
Adapted from Don Winslow’s acclaimed novella of the same name, ‘Crime 101’ is written and directed by Bart Layton.
