Warner Bros. & Neubauer Artists unveiled a striking new look of the film THE BRIDE!, a long-awaited achievement by Maggie Gyllenhaal, her return after the film The Lost Daughter. This “punk-rock” reinterpretation of a Gothic classic takes the audience to Chicago in the 1930s, where the withdrawn and lonely Frankenstein (Christian Bale) engages the help of an iconoclastic scientist, Dr. Euphronious (Annette Bening), in order to create a companion. Their experiment leads to the revival of the murdered young woman (Jessie Buckley), but the being that arises possesses radical autonomy that defies the intentions of its creators.

What begins as a search for society quickly turns into a vortex of murders, supernatural obsessions and a radical cultural uprising. Maggie Gyllenhaal, which directs to its own scenario, builds a world in which rogue lovers go through a chaotic and transformative epoch. The film is adorned with an extremely strong acting lineup, including Peter Sarsgaard, Jake Gyllenhaal and Penélope Cruz, which guarantees a highly intense dramatic experience that combines classic Gothic tropes with wild, modern energy.
The production is further strengthened by an elite creative team, including the Oscar-winning costume designer Sandy Powell and composer Hildur Gudandóttir. This production of the company “First Love Films” promises a visceral, spectacular large-scale film event, designed primarily for a large canvas. The audience won’t have to wait long to see this fiery reinterpretation; THE BRIDE! It arrives at IMAX and cinemas around the world on March 4, 2026, while the premiere in North America is scheduled for March 6, 2026.
