The Grimaldi Forum in Monaco hosted the grand celebration of gastronomy for the first time on Monday, March 16th, with the Michelin Guide 2026 star awards ceremony. This important event followed a gala dinner held the previous evening in the Empire Room of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, which awarded Michaël Arnoult’s Les Morainières in Joignieux a third star. Seven other establishments received a second star, and 54 were awarded their first. Given the prestige of the evening, Prince Albert II of Monaco and his wife, Princess Charlene, accepted the invitation of Florent Menegaux, President of the Michelin Group. The 48-year-old princess made a stunning appearance at the photocall in a gold pantsuit by Giorgio Armani.
With its relaxed fit, rounded shoulders, and silk fabric, Charlene’s suit combined sophistication and festive spirit, perfect for the evening. The former Olympic swimmer wore a lurex top underneath, embroidered with curved lines of rhinestones, also by Giorgio Armani . A rectangular gold clutch and a pair of pointed-toe chrome pumps completed her look, which was very inspiring for the holidays, a wedding, or a dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Large oval earrings covered in diamonds adorned her ears, which were left visible thanks to an elegant low chignon, styled with a side part and a fringe covering her forehead.

Since the passing of the fashion maestro in September 2015, the princess has paid numerous tributes to the designer who created her wedding dress for her religious ceremony on July 2, 2011 , regularly wearing pieces from his fashion house, now run by his niece Silviana Armani.
“It is with great sadness that the Prince and I learned of the passing of Giorgio Armani. An iconic figure in the world of fashion, he created and shaped trends that have influenced generations. (…) His work and achievements will live on and continue to inspire the future,” she wrote on the official Instagram account of the Princely Family upon learning of his death.
Princess Charlene of Monaco is clearly drawn to all things sparkly at the start of the year. Three days earlier, she attended the Provale Solidarité charity gala at the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris, in her capacity as president of the Monegasque Rugby Federation, a position she has held since autumn 2024. The mother of twins Jacques and Gabriella chose a magnificent navy blue Oscar de la Renta gown, with a stretch crepe collar and sleeves embroidered with mosaic crystals. For the religious celebration of Saint Devota on January 27 at Monaco Cathedral, Charlene added a touch of sparkle to her dark coat with a precious brooch in the shape of flames, pinned to her chest. Made of 18-karat yellow gold, 950 platinum, and brilliant-cut diamonds, it was designed during her lifetime by the French jeweler Jean Schlumberger for the American jewelry house Tiffany & Co.
