This time last year, the Princess of Wales was enjoying a refreshing (and covert!) Alpine getaway amid the pressures of royal life. The trip was testament to the value Kate places on special time with her family. Those happy memories and strong bonds will now feel more important than ever

They has reported that this time last year, Kate Middleton and Pippa enjoyed a secret skiing holiday in Méribel, which was carefully kept quiet by specialist hospitality staff and PR teams.
Amid the constant pressure and scrutiny of royal life, the pleasure of time in the freeing natural environment of the mountains is no doubt something much to be cherished. The Times wrote, ‘They managed to keep their holiday secret for a few days of fun with their husbands and young children: cosy après-ski lunches together hidden in the snowy forest.’
