Prince George, apart from the fact that he loves flying (and is already taking classes) loves pizza and dreams of being a pizza maker. The eldest son of Prince William and Princess Kate would have confessed this in a Norfolk pizzeria, Wiveton Hall Café, with his mother and other friends.
ue Cafe owner Desmond MacCharthy told reporters: “The little prince was fascinated by the wood-fired oven where we cook the pizza. ‘ This is what I want to do when I’m older,’ enthused Prince George.” Mr MacCarthy also said: “He’s a very sweet boy. He came here with his friends – Sandringham isn’t that far from the family estate.” The royal family spends Christmas at Sandringham and William and Kate also have a country house, Anmer Hall, nearby.
Prince George and his passion for pizza
It seems like the whole family loves pizza and George has been spotted several times with a slice of pizza in his hand. Kate Middleton reported in 2018 that her two oldest children love making pizza dough. And perhaps that’s where George’s dream came from.
Unfortunately, however, the dream will not come true – at least not at his favourite pizzeria. Desmond MacCharthy of Wiveton Hall Café said it will close for good in November after 17 years in business. “We are struggling financially, we can no longer afford our expenses. It’s sad that things are changing, but I think that in time something else will happen.” The main reasons for the closure include rising costs, especially electricity, and difficulty finding staff. Despite its busy summer schedule, the restaurant is unable to remain profitable all year round, making it unsustainable to operate. But after all, there are plenty of pizzerias in the UK.
