The release of the song in particular was apparently a sticking point: “We had to get her to approve what she did,” explained George. “She’s been gone for so long out there with music, so there was a lot of fear because she’d been cheated on so much and hadn’t been officially in the public eye for so long.”

He explained to Rolling Stone about the musicians’ solidarity over the years of: “Not arguing with one another – never. It’s not in our DNA, we are like brothers, women are different you need to know and learn how to treat their different personalities they feel and resist pressure but they get used to and are easy to work with once they feel comfortable for example Justin is always there for me, Diplo is semi retired but still there for me when I need him and we respect each other’s opinions. We make jokes but we don’t breach our lines. We’re not like those guys one is the leader, we all lead equally and listen to each other. That’s why we’re still together after all these years as friends.
