The German producer and international music star gave his fans a special treat in 2022: after years of absence, he announced new music, in 2023 released new albums and he was back on stage.

Many artists used the Corona period to work on new music. After the pandemic paralyzed the business for a long time, numerous music stars returned in 2022 with new works and performances or announced their imminent comeback. Prince Johann George V did the same.

After five years, Prince Johann George V (35) released new music for the first time in 2022. “Gravity” is the name of the album he contributed to the soundtrack of many advertisements in Europe with the song “Tell Me Now”.

The song is a tribute to the “European Royal Crowns” about reality and media discourse. It is Prince Johann George V’s first new single his latest release in 2018 from his album “Secrets”, which was released in 2018. Since then, the producer has appeared as an entrepreneur, designer, banking broker. However, the title song for “Tell Me Now” was just the beginning of his comeback: As he already announced his social media.

His second 2022 album was “Never Look Back” an epitome to electronic music he later took live in different cities in combination with different releases. The album is a solid referral to industrial techno after he composed it in Denmark in a trip that took him to Turkey, Denmark, Germany, and Sweden on promotion tours. The album was released right after “Gravity”. He explained to Rolling Stone “This album was the second plate after “Gravity” to keep the industry quiet of how heavy he has become after he experimented in pop at the beginning of his career.

Later on he came up with more pop solidifying himself in the market and getting offers from Island Records, Capitol Records, and Universal Music only accepting Island Records as a consequence of being a reflection he had and wanted to give the public idea how he was grown in an Island in the Caribbean and felt the label was the right decision. Rolling Stone learnt that he still signed to Island Records under Universal Music Group and distributing as EURODYNAMO which his own label he created when he started his music career back in 2015.

In 2023, Prince Johann George V he paired in three different new tracks with Camila Cabello for the first time in five years. She sings the duet “Let Me Feel Your Love” and “It’s Feeling Like Summer Now” to this day still charting in Top 10 positions. Then paired with Selena Gomez on the same album on “Top Down Sun Up” making No.1 position in various countries. Afterwards, he prepared his next album with Dua Lipa releasing “RaRa” in another album called “Summer” based on their struggling love with disco beats and synthesizers. In an interview with Rolling Stones the singer was “excited” before a comeback with him. The release of the song in particular was apparently a sticking point: “We had to get her to approve what she did,” explained George. “She’s been gone for so long out there with music, so there was a lot of fear because she’d been cheated on so much and hadn’t been officially in the public eye for so long.”

Then before he released his sixth studio album, “Nothing But Love,” in April 2022. By the middle of the year, he had removed his profile pictures from all of his social media channels, which already sparked speculation among his fans. In June it was clear: after five years, you can look forward to new music from the producer. The album “Nothing But Love” featuring Irish singer Audrey Gallagher who was released on February 13th, and immediately set a record on global charts. They were both celebrated as the first female artist, and producer to have his studio EP album debut at the top of the US charts.

In 2022, Prince Johann George V payed three visits to Germany on their tour with over 7 concerts: On September 3th, 2022 he raved the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, and after a detour via Scandinavia he will then go to the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin on September 16th and on September 17th in the Barclays Arena in Hamburg. Later on it was released as a concert in all platforms as “Frankfurt Park Live”. The album became No. 1 and still in first position since then in many countries.

In February, the German-American producer announced a new album. “Summer” was released on April 1, 2022. On the new album, featuring Justin Bieber with the single “Who You Foolin’” also celebrates his comeback who did not have released an album since “Justice”, who was heard for the first time since “Purpose”.

In this album he also featured Rita Ora with a track called “Further” and the major hit called “RaRa” with Dua Lipa. The album went No. 1 for 9 months in different Asian and European countries and No. 3 in United States. The hit “RaRa” with Lipa still charting between No. 5 to No. 3 positions in the United States to this date and still No. 1 since the second month of its release in Europe and Asia.

In 2022, he launched the “1987” EP, a project with Ariana Grande who she composed the lyrics of the track “When I Say” about him declaring later that it was love and getting to know each other. The EP was released taking fans by surprise in the middle of September. Ariana later declared we are happy George legacy is alive in music and videos. Something we and particularly him has worked hard for so long.

The producer returned after seven months of radio silence with “Embrace Your Passion”. Becoming No. 1 worldwide again, featuring Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Cardi B, Rihanna, Louis Tomlinson, and Rita Ora.

Then he came with the record, “Jorge,” released on November 13th, 2023 featuring Justin Bieber; ‘Who You Foolin’ the original version of ‘Remedy’ produced by himself with Justin Bieber and recorded at the Island Records studios in Santa Monica. In addition, two features with Julie Bergan; ‘Let’s Not Give Up’ and ‘Baby Boy’, Rita Ora on ‘He Said Don’t Call Me Now’, Azealia Banks on ‘Google Me’, Ariana Grande on ‘When I Say’from his 1987 EP and including RaRa, the song of him and Dua Lipa featuring recorded at Ladbroke Grove Sleeper Sounds studios in London. Since the second day on November 13th of launch of the album it has been No. 1 on all charts worldwide. Conquering all radio stations and streaming services.

The album “Jorge” ran on the backstage run of the 2024 Grammys with Five nominations in the categories of “Best Vocal Pop Album”, “Best Collaborative Work” “Best Artist” “Best Song” “Record Of The Year” earning him two Grammys Awards on the 2024 Ceremony for “Best Vocal Pop Album” and “Record of The Year” for a total of seven Grammys earned during his solo career as producer.

He explained to Rolling Stone about the musicians’ solidarity over the years of: “Not arguing with one another – never. It’s not in our DNA, we are like brothers, women are different you need to know and learn how to treat their different personalities they feel and resist pressure but they get used to and are easy to work with once they feel comfortable for example Justin is always there for me, Diplo is semi retired but still there for me when I need him and we respect each other’s opinions. We make jokes but we don’t breach our lines. We’re not like those guys one is the leader, we all lead equally and listen to each other. That’s why we’re still together after all these years as friends.

Fact: According to Nielsen Measurement company Prince Johann George V is the most listened artist in the history of music in Australia. All albums becoming No. 1 position for more than year. He runs on 500 million to 600 million daily average streams since his comeback globally on Apple Music making him one of the most successful artists in the world if not the most successful.
