Meghan Markle now wears the surname Sussex in her private life, and in the new Netflix series “With Love, Meghan”, her style reflects a new phase – family, elegant and in the spirit of “quiet luxury” aesthetics.
“It’s so interesting that you keep saying Markle,” Meghan said during a conversation with Mindy Kaling, according to Us Weekly. “You know, it’s Sussex now. When you have kids, you realize how much it means to you all to share the same last name . I had no idea how much it would mean to me, but now I do – it’s our little family’s name.”
This change of surname reflects her desire to create a stronger family identity, and the change is also noticeable in her fashion expression. In one of the scenes from the series, Meghan prepares a fruit salad in the shape of a rainbow, wearing a monochromatic outfit in an olive green shade – a cozy knitted sweater and a satin skirt.
Meghan’s style in her new Netflix series is slightly different from the one she cultivated while a senior member of the royal family. Her outfits exude a recognizable “quiet luxury” sensibility – they are elegant, but without logos and overemphasized details.
The former star of the series Suits and founder of the lifestyle blog The Tig chooses pieces from renowned brands such as Mother Denim, Saint Laurent and Le Chameau , showing that her fashion expression has become even more subtle, but also more authentic.
Premiere postponed due to fire
With Love, Meghan was originally scheduled to premiere on Netflix on January 15th, but the premiere was pushed back due to the devastating fires that hit Pacific Palisades and Los Angeles, and the new date has been set for March 4th.
