Trump Seeks $152 Million To Reopen Alcatraz Notorious Prison

Donald Trump is pushing a $152 million plan to transform historic Alcatraz into a state-of-the-art prison for the US’s most dangerous criminals.

The relevant provision is included in the budget for the fiscal year 2027 and concerns the coverage of the first restoration and reconstruction works, with the ultimate goal of creating a “state-of-the-art security prison”.
