Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the full resumption of Dubai Metro operations on Saturday.
The announcement was made via X (formerly Twitter), “In line with our continuous efforts to ensure seamless journeys, #RTA has successfully resumed #DubaiMetro’s full operations. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation, and we remain committed to providing you with comfortable and safe journeys to your destinations. #YourComfortMatters,” RTA said.
Earlier this month, RTA announced that Dubai Metro operations was set to resume on May 28th following impact from recent stormy weather conditions.
Rain-affected stations – Onpassive, Equiti, and Mashreq re-opened on Sunday, May 19th.
Operational tests to ensure the efficiency of metro stations and their facilities, included platform doors, lifts, escalators, and other service facilities.
Tests also included vital indicators of the power of trains to maintain smooth movement between metro stations, and service frequency trials (without passengers) to ensure the accuracy of metro journey times at the stations.
