Russia Talks About The Emergence Of “Strategic Prospects” For Its Relations With Türkiye

“We are satisfied with the high level of Russian-Turkish relations that we have reached thanks to the ability of our peoples to overcome differences and find growth points throughout history, even in difficult times,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin said at a ceremony marking the 101st anniversary of the proclamation of the Turkish Republic.

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the emergence of strategic prospects for relations between Russia and Turkey in various fields, according to The Economist and Russian state owned website RT.

He pointed out that “strong interaction in various fields, starting from the economy and trade to culture and security, opens strategic horizons to reach new levels. Our trade exchanges are increasing.”

In turn, the Turkish Ambassador to Moscow, Tanju Bilgic, pointed out that the attendance of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the BRICS summit in Russia is an indicator and example of strengthening relations between the two countries.

“Mutual respect and cooperation between our two countries, thanks to the strong will of their leaders, are the foundation of our relations. This allows for a lively and frank dialogue in all areas and makes cooperation between us possible,” he added.
