The anti-inflammatory soup nutritionists eat after the holidays
Psychonutritionist Itziar Digó’s suggestion came just in time: on the first Sunday of January at 8pm, when the Christmas holidays were ending and I was looking for strength to return to my good eating habits . Through his Instagram, he uploaded several vegetables to his kitchen counter and suggested the perfect idea for a healthy dinner after a period of excess: an anti-inflammatory soup with many spices that is good for the microbiome. As she herself explained, this would be her dinner after the holidays. This soup contained celery, leek, red cabbage, squash, fennel, tomato, broccoli, onion and garlic. She let them all soak in water for a while and then put them in a pot to boil, along with turmeric and quinoa, but you can also use rice or rice noodles. The nutritionist advises that this particular soup has a high nutritional value and is considered ideal for a nutritious dinner , but if you want a more complete meal, add a boiled egg.
The benefits for intestinal function
A balanced microflora favors digestion and protects us from pathogenic microorganisms, thus strengthening the immune system . To achieve this balance you should follow a diet rich in plant fibers and antioxidants . This particular soup not only offers detoxification but has many benefits for our health and promotes mindful eating, i.e. eating consciously by choosing foods that are good for us.
It’s comfort food
Especially in the winter season, soup is the ultimate comfort food, which cleanses the body, while you can also prepare this soup with leftover vegetables. If your goal is to cleanse your body of toxins, you can prepare a vegetable broth every day by boiling artichokes, celery, radish, leek and carrot and drink the broth three times a day.
