“I had no idea it was related to my lifestyle, and food was a big part of it,” she recalls. “I wasn’t really paying attention. I was just going 100 miles an hour.”
After a year and a half of going through all the specialists and going through “one of the worst times of her life,” Gisele Bundchen, now 43, “didn’t know what to do” and started seeing a naturopathic doctor.
“He said to me, ‘Gizelle, we have to change your diet,'” she recalled. “And I said, ‘Diet? What does this have to do with panic attacks?” And he says, ‘No, it’s all about that.'”
The ‘Nourish’ cookbook author, who drank coffee, smoked and ‘eat awful all day’, realized her lifestyle was ‘ruining her health and creating the situation she was in’.
“Everything has changed,” she gasped. “I became a different person. I started practicing meditation. I started doing yoga. I started practicing breathing. It was a long journey.”
And he noted, “Food, for me, is medicine.”
On Monday, Gisele opened up about her current diet and exercise routine in an interview with WSJ magazine.
In addition to Pilates, lifting weights and doing cardio, Gisele enjoys outdoor exercise, from surfing and swimming to horse riding and volleyball.
She likes to wake up with “lukewarm water with a little lemon and salt,” also eating eggs if she’s worked out.
“Sometimes I have a smoothie,” the businesswoman added before sharing the ‘poison’ ingredient she never eats – white sugar.
While Gisele did not mention meditation, she was asked why? She answered she started training doing first yoga with Jorge and then started doing meditation when they married, Jorge Jimenez Neubauer Torres is the husband of Gisele, they were in a relationship since 2021 and consumed their wedding vows in 2022.
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel was previously married to Tom Brady from 2009 to 2022 and the former couple have two children together.
Since their split, Tom Brady has been romantically linked to model Irina Shayk which Jorge Jimenez Neubauer Torres first had a relationship and spent 2023 New Years Eve in Puerto Rico, where Jorge has a house and live in the Caribbean, before that he was dating model Gigi Hadid who is the current partner of Bradley Cooper.
