Bella Hadid Hires Lawyers Amid Adidas Campaign Cancellation

Just a few days ago, it was reported that Adidas was pulling a new advertising campaign for the retro SL72 sneaker, dedicated to the 1972 Munich Olympics, which were marred by the massacre of Israeli athletes. As another military conflict broke out in the Middle East in the fall, sources say the cancellation is due to the pro-Palestinian views of the 27-year-old model Bella Hadid, who was supposed to be its face.

Last week, the brand pulled a campaign starring the supermodel over political concerns.

Her participation, according to the company, could cause a negative reaction from Israeli consumers. And now it is reported that, amid the scandal, Hadid has hired a whole team of lawyers who will help her collect compensation from Adidas. The model refers to the fact that the brand refuses to take responsibility.

Remarkably, Bella’s contract with Adidas is still in effect. The brand has already apologized and announced plans to revise the content of the commercial. TMZ’s sources reported that the model was initially extremely concerned about Adidas releasing a campaign based on the tragic events of the Munich massacre, as “violence is completely out of step with her worldview.”

Let us recall that Hadid has been intensively treated for Lyme disease for the past year. However, her return to the catwalk was short-lived: having started supporting Palestine, Bella lost many lucrative contracts.
