Although Spring/Summer 2025 Fashion Week ended a week ago, fashion continues to be in the spotlight at France Télévisions. After the four-part documentary series dedicated to the behind-the-scenes of luxury houses (Luxe, la fabrique du rêve, available until September 20, 2026), the company is focusing on one of the most sought-after designers of his generation: Simon Porte Jacquemus.
“Madam, The Prince It’s Versailles”
The designer from Salon-de-Provence presented his fall-winter 2025 fashion show called “Le Chouchou.” Dua Lipa ’s best friend then saw things in a big way. Never short of ideas, the thirty-year-old unfolded his catwalk in the gardens of the Château de Versailles.
A majestic setting in line with the DNA of the collection, inspired by the princess of hearts Lady Di and Demy’s Donkey Skin, played on screen by Catherine Deneuve . It is therefore quite natural that the documentary continues the royal metaphor by calling itself Jacquemus, the sun Prince.
The Chouchou Book, A Summary of The Latest Jacquemus Collection
Last week, a huge queue snaked all the way to 58 avenue Montaigne. Hours of waiting to catch a glimpse of Simon Porte Jacquemus and British photographer Martin Parr. To mark the release of his third book, the Provençal designer was keen to meet his community. After the ode to Marseille and the collection of images captured on an iPhone, this third work is dedicated to the “Le Chouchou” collection. The book available, with its passionate red cover—like the cherry necklaces and other pumps in the collection— immortalizes the key pieces and the front row, seated in romantic boats. An exploration of the Southerner’s world on glossy paper, to be completed by watching the documentary. Enough to become an expert on the talented designer’s destiny!
