Pear-filled afternoon tea in a Halloween theme!
The Tavern Grill & Lounge, a restaurant at Andaz Tokyo, is serving a special, limited-time version of “Halloween Pear Afternoon Tea.”
This is a Halloween version of the afternoon tea served in September, which uses plenty of pears. The orange chocolate accents and the adorable monster-like sweets add to the Halloween mood.
The savory dishes also feature plenty of pear, the main ingredient. In addition, the lineup is luxurious, based on autumn ingredients, such as the “Pumpkin and Amaretti Tart with Jamon Serrano,” in which the sweet and sour taste of pumpkin and amaretti harmonizes with the umami of Spanish prosciutto Jamon Serrano. The “Pomegranate Gazpacho with Whipped Cream” uses seasonal pomegranate instead of tomato, and has a refreshing taste with a subtle aroma of cucumber and paprika.
Enjoy both the autumn season and Halloween to your heart’s content.
