It’s Coachella season again, which means that even though we’re not there physically, we’re there in spirit, watching everything from behind the screens. There are two things that make Coachella so special. First: the headliners and their performances. This year, names like Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G are taking to the stage. The second, and for some, perhaps the main one, are the outfits of the visitors. And at Coachella, it’s not just ordinary visitors, but world stars that we all love. It’s during this period that every famous personality pulls out the boldest and most striking looks, turning the desert into one big fashion playground where absolutely anything is allowed. This year we saw expressiveness, but also a lot of classics, and now we’ll take a look at the most interesting outfits and trends together.

Kendall and Kylie: opposite sister style

The Jenner sisters are among the most sought-after celebrities at Coachella every year. Their personal styles have evolved significantly over the years, especially at music festivals. From

Kendall’s boho style to Kylie’s rock star look in 2016, their styles have always been at odds with each other. This Friday, Kendall went for the classics in a white tank top and white denim shorts, topped with a backwards hat and practical festival boots. Kylie, on the other hand, opted for low-waisted jeans and a light, flowing white top. The sisters looked absolutely stunning once again.

Hailey Bieber in vintage Dior

Whatever Hailey Bieber wears becomes instantly iconic. This year, that was doubly true. We first caught her at Justin Bieber’s main stage performance on Saturday night, and then at her own “Rhode World” event on Saturday afternoon, where she introduced new products, including pimple patches. It was an event full of fun, beauty and wellness, and of course, perfect outfits. Hailey opted for a vintage slip dress from 1998 by Christian Dior in a sunny yellow shade with a pink trim. She complemented the colorful dress with light blue sandals with wider straps, which perfectly highlighted the playful color blocking.

Denim comes first

After years of Coachella being all about bold and extravagant outfits, many attendees went for the classics this year. Like Kendall and Kylie, others opted for denim, one of the most prominent trends of the weekend.Whether it’s baggy jeans, minis, or longer denim shorts, denim has become the foundation for a casual, stylish festival look. It’s the perfect piece to pair with any top.

Top dominance: printed t-shirts

Just as comfort dominated the bottoms of outfits, so did tops. Printed T-shirts flooded the festival. Whether cropped, oversized, sleeveless, or classic fitted, they gave each outfit a unique and casual character. They made it possible to stay comfortable while looking distinctive.

A festival full of textures and materials

If someone didn’t go the classic route, they went full extravagance. There’s no in-between at Coachella, so we saw a wide range of textures and materials, from colorful jeans with beads to crochet sets to lace bras complete with long glittery fringe. Sheer materials, metallic elements and bold details added drama to the outfits and confirmed that there are no rules in festival fashion. Just add bold bracelets, statement sunglasses or an interesting handbag and the look is complete.

Silk on stage: comfort and elegance

Silk is finding a new place in our wardrobes. It is no longer reserved for elegant dinners or evening occasions, but has also appeared on festival lawns.Whether it’s a Sabrina Carpenter-inspired dress for her Friday show or a comfortable silk set that combines comfort with style, this material proves that softness and shine work anywhere.

Expressive nails as an accessory

In the world of clean girl neutral nails, there’s a newfound desire for a bit of fun this year. And Coachella is the perfect opportunity to play around with nail art. Kylie opted for a 3D design with colorful flowers adorned with rhinestones on each nail. But we’ve also seen the polka dot trend make its way to the nails. It’s true art.

Bonus! Outfits outside the festival

Coachella outfits don’t stop at the festival grounds. Even off-the-field moments with Coachella elements can be just as iconic, whether you’re enjoying a leisurely morning with coffee in your favorite Justin Bieber tank top or simple pieces you throw over your swimsuit while lounging by the pool. That’s part of Coachella-inspired fashion cool, too.
