Coldplay has made a stunning debut in Finland, performing for the first time in the country and shattering multiple records with their Music of the Spheres world tour. The British band played four consecutive sold-out shows at Helsinki’s iconic Olympic Stadium, drawing an unprecedented crowd of over 187,000 people. This marks the highest ticket sales ever recorded for a single artist or band in Finland, surpassing previous records set at the venue.

The band completed a sold-out four-night run at Helsinki’s Olympic Stadium this week – their first ever concerts in Finland

Since their formation in 1997, Coldplay has been a highly anticipated act in Finland. The band announced in July 2023 that they would be visiting Finland for the first time on Sunday, July 28, 2024, as part of their globally successful Music of the Spheres world tour. The wait proved worthwhile for Finnish fans, as Coldplay delivered four spectacular performances, each one sold out, setting multiple records along the way. The band graced the stage at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday, July 27; Sunday, July 28; Tuesday, July 30; and Wednesday, July 31.

“We are thrilled to have brought Coldplay to Finland for the first time with a series of four sold-out evenings that captivated audiences and set new records in Finnish ticket sales,” said promoter Scott Lavender. “The energy and passion of both the band and the audience made these performances truly unforgettable.”

Coldplay’s Helsinki concerts are part of a series of sold-out summer stadium shows worldwide. The band launched the Music of the Spheres world tour in March 2022, earning rave reviews from both fans and critics. The tour has received numerous accolades, including the Favorite Touring Artist award at the 2022 American Music Awards and the Tour of the Year award at the 2023 iHeartRadio Awards.

With their record-breaking performances in Helsinki, Coldplay continues to cement its status as one of the world’s leading live acts, delighting audiences with its innovative shows and timeless music.
