After an eight-year absence from Europe, Adele made a highly anticipated return on August 2, 2024, opening her residency in Munich, Germany. The grand event sparked international excitement, including the creation of a stadium specifically designed to host the ten performances scheduled for the month of August.
Each evening attracts up to 75,000 spectators, dazzled by a giant screen measuring 220 metres by 30, a 93-metre catwalk, all for the modest sum of 40 million euros of investment. Tickets sold out in just a few minutes. She has been in residence in Las Vegas and does not plan to go on tour again anytime soon.
“I don’t have any concerts planned for a very long time”
Interviewed by the German channel “ZDF” as part of her tour, the mother revealed that she was taking a long break at the end of her residency, scheduled for the end of 2024. “I have no plans for new music. I want to take a long break and I think I want to devote myself to other creative things for a little while,” she said.
Many fans did not want to take this statement seriously, unfortunately, a short sentence uttered during her concert on Friday, August 16, 2024 confirms her words. On X, a fan posted a video in which Adele speaks about the rest of her career: “I have 4 concerts left here (in Munich, editor’s note) and 10 more in the United States, then I’ll be done. I don’t have any more concerts planned for a very long time.” A short sentence that will not make her fans.
