The 19-year-old died in a tragic accident in the Isar River. His father has now revealed details of the night of the accident.
Just a few days ago, the news of the death of 19-year-old Remo Pollert caused great shock. The son of Lara Joy Körner was found lifeless in the Isar River after a night of partying. He had previously been celebrating with friends at the Munich club “Blitz”.
Remo’s father, lawyer and businessman Heiner Pollert, has now spoken to “Bild” about previously unknown details of the night. According to him, surveillance cameras recorded the 19-year-old just minutes before his tragic death.
“On the club’s security camera footage, I saw Remo leave his beer by the cloakroom at 4 a.m., kind of hidden so he could get it back later. Then he went outside in a T-shirt. He left his jacket with his cell phone inside the club. He probably just wanted to go pee,” Heiner Pollert recounts about his son’s last night.
Father talks about the night of the accident
Pollert suspects that Remo went to a small ledge near the Ludwigsbrücke bridge for this reason. “Perhaps he got dizzy there. Of course, he could also have been pushed. But who would do that and why? The police couldn’t find any evidence of foul play.”
The security cameras at the sports field weren’t working, and there are no witnesses. Exactly how Remo died remains a mystery. However, one thing is clear: Remo appears to have fallen. “The autopsy revealed that he fractured his pelvis and a lumbar vertebra. The pain likely caused him to lose consciousness, and he then drowned. He was found headfirst in the water,” speculated his grieving father.

Lara Joy Körner says goodbye to her son Remo
Remo was buried in Munich. Over 300 mourners, including many young people, paid their last respects. The mourners were given the opportunity to say a final goodbye to Remo at his coffin and even to decorate it. Techno music played at the graveside, reflecting Remo’s passion.
His mother, actress Lara Joy Körner, delivered a moving eulogy: “I have learned so much, I hear this sentence from so many people now. Remo, you have left a huge void. And at the same time, you have left us with so much love that we can climb out of this void.”
