Since turning fifty, Victoria Beckham seems more fulfilled and free than ever. In an interview with a British newspaper published on Wednesday, May 27, the singer-turned-fashion-designer  confided that she approaches the passage of time with great serenity; it’s even a “blessing.”

In her three-part documentary series, broadcast at the end of 2025, viewers learned how much David Beckham’s wife suffered from the way others, and even herself, perceived her physical appearance. From the formation of the Spice Girls in 1994 and throughout the 2000s, her every move was scrutinized, commented on, and publicized— a constant pressure that David Beckham’s wife said she found very difficult to cope with . Today, at 52, everything is going very well for Posh Spies. “I spent most of my life feeling like I wasn’t good enough and not liking how I looked. I think the great thing about getting older is that I now accept how I look,” she summarized.

Over time, the mother of Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper explains that the opinions of others no longer really matter. “You really care less about what other people think. I can now own my own narrative.” Alongside her clothing line, Victoria Beckham has also created her own cosmetics brand. At 52, Victoria Beckham is a formidable businesswoman, more determined and ambitious than ever.

52 years old and uninhibited

While some choose to slow down as they approach fifty, Victoria Beckham seems to be doing the exact opposite. The former pop star claims to be even more active now than she was at the start of her career. “I don’t do anything different now in terms of my workouts. In fact, I do more now than I did when I was 20 or 30. Just because you’re getting older doesn’t mean you’re limited in what you can do. You can achieve great things as you get older,” she said in a filmed interview with The Times. Is turning fifty a career boost?
