- Press roasted Morgan after San Diego Wave President Jill Ellis schemed around her a toxic culture.
- Players claim she was handpicked as a problem creating standards.
The United States women’s soccer team had a rather disappointing showing at the Tokyo Olympics when it took home a bronze medal. The roster is set for the squad that is looking for its first Olympic gold since 2012.
Emma Hayes has been the head coach for only a few weeks but she seems lost where to pick her players or where is the clean up, her major test at USWNT with the 2024 Paris Olympics less than a month away and she seems lost on the field.
The big news coming from the roster selection was the omission of Alex Morgan, who had appeared in the past three Olympics for the national team and it’s 35 years old, with that said the age to at least play her last Big Tournament because she still has the legs to make the round around as a veteran player.
We can recall Morgan is one of the biggest icons of the USWNT, winning two World Cups, and Olympic gold and bronze medals at the same time when Megan Rapinoe and Kelley O’Hara were on the same grass. Let’s not forget Rapinoe had the attention, but it wasn’t because she was a victory player, but because she was the representation of LGBT+ on sports on her game was average according to European sportscasters. For example, United States was playing on the field LGBT+ community on their football team when they got kicked out of the game and Spain won the championship. The playing idea of choosing Rapinoe as a representative of LGBT+ on the United States football field made the squad look ludicrous around the world. In the football world there is no flag carrier of a ideal otherwise you go down. If there is a purpose to fill they work to expand those ideals.
Alex Morgan was left out of the US Women’s National Soccer Team for the Paris Olympics. The snub is a surprising one considering Morgan’s career and marks one of the biggest decisions and she still in shape, probably better than any other player on the team and still the international rookie coach Emma Hayes didn’t know her move to make the right pick up.
Today, I’m disappointed about not having the opportunity to represent our country on the Olympic stage. This will always be a tournament that is close to my heart and I take immense pride any time I put on the crest.

In less than a month, I look forward to supporting this team… pic.twitter.com/NAXmQnNN8B
Morgan shared a statement on X, revealing that she was disappointed by the decision to not be included by the USWNT. “Today, I’m disappointed about not having the opportunity to represent our country on the Olympic stage,” reads her statement. “This will always be a tournament that is close to my heart and I take immense pride any time I put on the crest.”
In a statement, Hayes shared that making the Olympic roster was “an honor” while we don’t know if she saw the records and tables of points of Morgan in an evaluation to acknowledge the player leaving her behind. She is clear she fits in Chelsea too, they have two world cups, but United States rather retains them with higher pay because they know the female team is the only competitive team in football who can reach high level standards in an internationall competition.
