“The Civil Aviation Authority of the Ministry of Transport and Communications has announced a temporary suspension of traffic in the airspace of the Kingdom of Bahrain ,” BNA, the state news agency of Bahrain, reported on the evening of June 23.

The agency clarified that the closure of airspace over Bahrain is related to precautionary measures amid the escalation in the region.

Iran announced on June 23 that it had launched an operation against the US Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. Tehran announced that it had launched a missile strike on the US Air Force base.

Iran’s state broadcaster reported that the alarm had been raised at American military bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Iraq.
