Six Street Style Trends That Stood Out At Milan Fashion Week

The street style trends at  Milan Fashion Week are a big exception to the rule that guests at fashion shows during Fashion Month dress conspicuously, trying to attract the attention of photographers and impress their colleagues with expensive designer pieces. It's a slower and steadier approach to street style during Fashion Week—a  surefire path to success.  And it makes sense that street style in Milan follows a "less is more" approach; simplicity is, after all, a specific Italian fashion sensibility.

In an Italian city known for its heritage, artisanal tradition and high standards of luxury, you can find a more subtle and minimalist approach.

Take for example the current Milan Fashion Week Fall 2025 season. Instead of combining too many styles in one look, show-goers are carefully choosing just one fashion trend at a time. Extremely baggy jeans don’t require an equally flashy top when a simple white button-down shirt does the job. Also, it’s not necessary to test out all the spring colors at once—deciding on one color at a time helps you not overdo it with color combinations.

Discover trends from Milan Fashion Week that resemble a love letter to simple, understated, old-fashioned elegance. They suggest a few smart fashion philosophies to keep in mind as you test out next season’s top spring trends.
