If we’ve gathered one thing from the Fall ’24 fashion runways, it’s that red is here to stay for now. And if one person is probably real happy about that, we’d bet it was Salma Hayek.
The actor and filmmaker shared a slideshow of photos to Instagram earlier today, in which she was seen lounging in her living room surrounded by all things rouge, cherry, vermillion—you name it.
“50 shades of Red ❤️ 50 tonos de rojo ❤️,” Hayek wrote in her caption (riffing on 50 Shades of Grey’s title). The first photo saw Hayek hanging out in a plaid red jacket and blue jeans, surrounded by over 15 red purses—from Gucci’s coveted Jackie bag to a mini version of the house’s iconic bamboo top-handle bag. It’s fair to say she’s living the life we aspire to.
For the rest of her outfit, the Frida star sported black boots with large decorative straps, and accessorized with a scarlet fedora that had a black band. In addition to showing off her ruby purses, Hayek really proved her love of the bloody color throughout the rest of the slideshow, highlighting her collection of red lipstick, red shoes, red blazer, and even red bowls of fruit.
There was also a surprise cameo from Hayek’s French bulldog, Bee, whom she shares with daughter Valentina. In the first slide, Hayek is snuggled up with the wrinkly pup, and the second pic demonstrates Bee’s refined tastes, as she lies on top of a crimson YSL blazer and next to an Alexander McQueen handbag. For this pooch’s sake, we hope red never goes out of style.
