While Olympique de Marseille is experiencing a successful season under Bruno Genesio’s leadership, now the club continues to shine behind the scenes through its commitments. Gathered on September 30th at the National Assembly for the 13th edition of the Sport & Management Awards, key figures in French sport recognized OM. Present for the event, Marseille president Stéphane Richard received the prestigious “Sport & Health” trophy for the creation of the “OM Amputee Football” section. Launched in January 2025, this innovative project allows amputee players to represent a major professional club, thus highlighting the visibility of disability sport and overcoming prejudices within the Marseille institution.
During the same ceremony, Paris FC was also honored for its social progress. The capital club was awarded the “Professional Sports Players” trophy thanks to its renowned “VINCI Mixed Cup.” The first top-level mixed U15 European competition, this tournament actively promotes equal opportunities by bringing together young female and male players on the same pitch and under the same rules. This recognition is a wonderful achievement for an ambitious project that demonstrates how gender diversity is a true driver of education and performance in the world of football.
