Oscar winner Julianne Moore often finds herself in the spotlight. Yet she was pleasantly surprised by how prominently she appears in the new campaign for Parisian jewelry brand Messika, for which she has become the face. “I like how the jewelry is connected to my personality,” says Moore, who told Vogue in 2023: “I don’t like heavy coverage; I want my freckles and my natural skin tone to show.”

In keeping with Messika’s desire for naturalness, the images capture her radiant, natural beauty in its purest form. Layered diamond bracelets, pavé necklaces and shimmering ear cuffs enhance her personality without overwhelming it. “Julianne embodies a rare, multi-layered femininity that is entirely her own. She has a depth, a quiet strength and a warmth that is unobtrusive yet leaves a strong impression,” explains Valérie Messika, founder and artistic director of the brand, explaining her decision to cast the actress as the face of the Moderniste collection.Julianne Moore confirmed her understated yet distinctive approach to dressing this February when she arrived at
Bottega Veneta’s Fall/Winter 2026 show in Milan to support creative director Louise Trotter. She donned a luxurious black suede shirt and looser leather pants, and the understated look embodied her signature style. In film, the actress most recently wore statement jewelry in
Sirens , where she played billionaire Michaela Kell. Surrounded by an aura of wealth and cult-like fascination, the character wore a pair of zodiac-themed jewelry by Fred Leighton. “It really exuded a sense of luxury, taste, and exclusivity,” Moore recalls. Movie costume enthusiasts will also recall that the actress wore a Messika piece while filming the 2018 film
Gloria Bell , where she played a free-spirited divorcee who wore a delicate Move necklace almost constantly. This famous diamond-shaped pendant features three loose diamonds and is one of the brand’s signature designs. “Women today don’t just want to wear jewelry for special occasions,” says Moore.

The actress attributes her love of jewelry to her general interest in design. “I’m drawn to things that I find beautiful, interesting, and sculptural,” she explains. An avid furniture collector, she helped select the 25 most important pieces of furniture from the past 100 years for T Magazine in March 2024, with a 1928 console chair by Marcel Breuer being her favorite. So it’s no surprise that she chose Luhlaz’s geometric Zebra choker for Messika’s 20th anniversary celebration at the Frick Collection in New York in October 2025. Unbeknownst to her, this striped white gold and diamond design had won a design award at the Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie in Monaco just three days earlier. There are undoubtedly many more milestones to come as a brand ambassador. “Julianne naturally combines opposites: strength and softness, precision and emotion,” adds Valérie Messika. And as the actress herself concludes: “ Jewelry should never be separate from us. It should accurately reflect who we are.”
