Within the Les Imprimés chapter of the SIGNES & SYMBOLES collection, CHANEL unveils the IMPRIMÉ LION necklace, a high jewelry creation that brings together four of the Maison’s most iconic emblems: the camellia, the star, the sun and the lion.
Conceived as a precious jewelry fabric, the necklace stands out for its V-shaped cascading structure, giving the piece a powerful, majestic presence when worn. Its two parallel lines create a sharply defined geometric silhouette, evoking the necklines of ancient garments, while a specially developed “chain within a chain” articulation system ensures flexibility and movement.
At the heart of the composition is the lion, the central and symbolic element of the necklace. Sculpted with bold, imposing features, its head is crowned by an exceptional 20.66-carat octagonal-cut sapphire, whose intense blue radiance draws the eye. Around it, the lion’s mane unfolds like a radiant headdress, entirely set with baguette-cut diamonds and reminiscent of an antique crown.
The visual richness of the necklace comes from the dialogue between verticality, symmetry and brilliance. The V-shape naturally guides the gaze toward the lion, while emerald-cut, round brilliant-cut and baguette-cut diamonds create a sophisticated play of light and facets.
