How we choose them? Check them out!
However, if the product is not up to scratch, for example the tip is too blunt or the color is too matte, it not only ruins your mood, but also your make-up. To prevent this from happening again, Stiftung Warentest has tested 14 pencils and dips. The best ones make for a great eye look, the worst ones are inadequate.
Eyeliner pencils and dips: what are the differences?
Classic eyeliner pens are similar to normal felt-tip pens, but have a particularly fine tip. They make applying makeup easier and are therefore ideal for beginners. Dip eyeliners, on the other hand, consist of an applicator and a pot of paint. A little more practice is required for precise eyeliner.
This is how it was tested
The test placed particular emphasis on the cosmetic properties of the eyeliners and their application. Accordingly, all products were tested by 20 test subjects, including three experts, over a period of one week and assessed on this basis. This made it possible to determine exactly how well the eyeliners dry, whether they are waterproof and how well they actually cover.
These eyeliners are really worth it
Since the two original winners have unfortunately been discontinued, the winner goes to the pen from Douglas (“Cat Eyes High Precision and Longlasting Eyeliner”) for 9.95 euros. It promises “high precision” and “long-lasting” – and it delivers on both of these.
The eyeliners from Maybelline New York (“Hypereasy Brush Tip Liner”) and Essence (“Tiny tip liner Waterproof”) perform only slightly worse. Essence is right up there, especially in terms of price. At 2.75 euros, it is hard to beat and impresses with excellent coverage, quick drying and it even scores well in terms of pollutants.
The eyeliner from L’Oréal Paris came last in the test. The product lacks the promised durability and harmful substances were detected. Natural cosmetics such as Lavera, Alverde and Alterra were also not convincing.
