Gwyneth Paltrow Matched Her Merlot Manicure To Her Hermès Birkin

The merlot manicures and fashion month are all anyone can talk. We can say that of course course she did that not many can say they make nail choices based on their Hermès Birkin collection, but Gwyneth Paltrow just might. Sure, it’s probably a total coincidence that her latest manicure is eerily close in shade to her chic tote, but we’d like to think it’s an intentional sartorial choice. Regardless, her latest manicure is the perfect shade for fall.

Merlot manicures and fashion month are all anyone can talk about so far this fall, with Paltrow at the helm of both. The Goop founder was front row at the YSL show and was seen out and about in Paris this week donning this season’s most popular nail shade.

The wine-inspired manicure is everywhere this fall, and it just so happens that Paltrow has a similarly-colored Birkin. It looks like she painted a deep red shade onto her natural nails for a sophisticated yet simple nail look. The autumnal tone of her nails paired so well with her fall outfit formula complete with dark wash denim and a grey cardigan (It’s G. Label by Goop’s The Boyfriend V-Neck Sweater, if you were wondering.)

Everyone from Jenna Ortega to Kylie Jenner has given the manicure their stamp of approval. It’s the updated version of last year’s bright cherry red trend, and the dark hue feels much more grown up and easier to style.

For her day out she left her blonde hair down and air-dried, paired with minimal makeup—it was very much giving low-key luxury vibes.

You don’t need a matching bag worth tens of thousands of dollars to get Paltrow’s look. The best part of it all is that her entire look can be recreated with items you have in your closet and an under-$10 polish.
