Entertainment Tonight revisits George Michael’s interview about ‘Father Figure,’ as the 1987 song finds new fans thanks to ‘Babygirl.’ In a scene going viral on TikTok, Harrison Dickinson dances shirtless to the ‘Faith’ album track for Nicole Kidman in the erotic thriller. ‘I think there’s a definite pattern in people’s lives where they move away from their parents. They spend time on their own. And then, they look for that replacement,’ the singer-songwriter told ET about ‘Father Figure’s inspiration at the time. ‘You don’t necessarily always hear about that with women. Although, I’m sure it’s just as much as the case. Not necessarily a father, but they look for that replacement.’
