Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed condolences to the family and friends of composer Evgeny Doga in connection with his death, calling his work a bright page in the history of the multinational culture of the Russian Federation. The corresponding telegram was published on the Kremlin website. Doga is a Soviet and Moldovan composer, People’s Artist of the USSR , a citizen of Russia since 1988 , author of numerous works for theater and cinema. His waltz for the film “My Sweet and Tender Beast” is recognized by UNESCO as one of the four musical masterpieces of the 20th century. In Chisinau, a music school and a street are named after him.
