Angelina Jolie Looks Outstanding In Latest George V Magazine Photoshoot

Looks almost unrecognizable with big, curly hair. We’re talking seriously big. If anyone in Hollywood has a signature sultry look, it’s Angelina Jolie, who has been sporting her signature smoky eye and dark hair almost constantly since she hit the scene with Hackers.

Recently, she’s embraced a lighter hair color and softer makeup—and in her latest spread for George V Magazine, the Oscar-winning actress went, way, way out of her usual styling and appeared with big, curly hair while speaking about her fashion line, Atelier Jolie, and life as a mom.

The instantly iconic photos were taken by Swiss-Italian photography team Luigi & Iango and show Jolie posing in pieces from her own collection. And while the draped dress she wears is undeniably dramatic, it’s safe to say that her larger-than-life hair stole the spotlight. Instead of her usual straight, middle-parted style, the photos show her with tight curls blowing around her in the most epic way.

In the accompanying interview, Jolie opened up about her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, and being a mother herself, saying, “The moment you become a parent, you are never first again. Your life is for another. It’s a beautiful feeling.”

She also noted that her philanthropy—Jolie has become just as well-known for her humanitarian efforts as her acting—stemmed from what she saw from her mom. She noted that seeing families struggling around the globe made her want to help in any way that she could.

“My mother was a very globally minded, thoughtful person, who often spoke to me about injustice,” Jolie shared, adding that her “worldview is very much shaped by refugee families, and I have so much respect for them.”

Jolie is making her return to the big screen in Maria, a biopic that explores the final days of opera singer Maria Callas. Jolie described the process of embodying the soprano, saying that it took time and complete immersion in her performances.

“I sat in the dark for hours, often listening to her music. She is her music and through that, you can begin to know her and feel her, if you let it in,” Jolie explained. She also said that the experience was therapeutic, adding, “In a way, it was the therapy I didn’t realize I needed.”
