Frustrations are growing and growing over Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
Since Vice President Kamala Harris officially became the Democratic candidate for the White House, she and Tim Walz – the vice presidential candidate – have not given more than seven interviews or press conferences together.
By comparison, Donald Trump and his vice presidential candidate JD Vance have participated in more than 70.

It is increasingly beginning to arouse both wonder and frustration in the United States . Especially in many media.

Vice President Kamala Harris’s tactic of avoiding media interviews since becoming the presumed Democratic nominee was called into question by CNN’s Erin Burnett on Wednesday. Burnett talked with media figure Charlamagne about God whether it would be preferable for Harris to turn down calls for interviews and concentrate on her campaigning instead. Burnett inquired about Charlamagne’s thoughts on the subject, pointing out that Harris had not taken part in a significant interview since her declared.
Despite some short press interactions and off-the-record conversations with reporters on her campaign plane, Harris has largely kept the media at bay. She has received positive media coverage while focusing on her campaign efforts against former President Trump. In early August, Harris briefly mentioned that she hoped to schedule an interview by the end of the month.

- JD Vance has given 47 interviews and held 12 press conferences
The media has not included a number of interviews given to media where the hosts are far too close to the candidates’ political beliefs.
The lack of interaction with the media on the part of Kamala Harris is undoubtedly something that has the attention of the other party.
And among other things, the Trump campaign has used against Harris that her first major interview since she officially became the Democratic presidential nominee was no longer – when it was released – than 16 minutes and 30 seconds. And here Harris even had Tim Walz by his side.
It was pointed out, among other things, during a voter meeting with Donald Trump on Fox News , where the show as a gimmick was briefly stopped after 16 minutes and 30 seconds.

And on a TV channel which – despite certain screen killings during his term as president – tends to be Republican and Trump-friendly.
So why was Trump interrupted in the middle of the debate program? The explanation came immediately afterwards.
Because the timing was certainly not accidental.
Kamala Harris has so far given only one television interview since she became the Democratic presidential candidate.
It lasted … 16 minutes and 30 seconds.
So the unusual performance was a clear trigger for Kamala Harris – and shortly afterwards the debate program continued.
During the hour-long conversation, both Trump and host Sean Hannity, who is known for his conservative views, took aim at Democrats and especially Kamala Harris.
Trump warned, among other things, that the United States will end up in a depression as severe as in 1929 if Harris becomes president.
He also claimed that a Third World War could be on the way unless he wins the election, as the wars in Ukraine and Gaza started while Joe Biden was president and called the people in the current presidential administration ‘clowns’.
It was also no coincidence that the program was broadcast on September 4.
Here, the Trump campaign had proposed a televised duel with Harris on Fox News.
Harris refused.
On September 10, the two presidential candidates will meet for a televised debate on ABC News.
However, there may be several good reasons why Kamala Harris stays away from the media.
One of them is her current boss, Joe Biden, who gave unusually few interviews as he successfully ran for president again in 2020.
It was partly due to the corona pandemic, but turned out to be a formal victory for Biden.
And Kamala Harris seems to have not only carried that strategy on, but also to have passed it on to Tim Walz, who before he became a vice presidential candidate was often in both the local Minnesota press, but also the national one.
At the same time, Kamala Harris has previously run into problems when she has given interviews where she has come to say imprecise things or cast doubt on where she stands in an area, as was the case with, for example, the controversial gas and oil extraction method fracking .
And it is clear that Harris wants to avoid precisely such situations.
But the strategy can also carry danger for the US vice president.
Many Americans still feel they don’t know Kamala Harris and where she stands on a number of issues.
And even less so with Tim Walz. Back in early August, a whopping 71 percent of Americans said in a poll conducted just before Harris chose Walz as his vice presidential candidate that they had never heard of him.
Right now it looks historically close. And Harris is thus out of a bit of a bet.
