Presley Gerber died at the age of 27 on Sunday, September 20, in a rehabilitation center. Among the suspected causes are an overdose and cardiac arrest. Santa Monica police records indicate a call about an overdose received that morning of September 20 at a facility in the area, which also mentioned a cardiac arrest.
In recent years, Presley had spoken openly about his struggles with mental health. “Having personally battled mental health issues, depression and other difficulties related to it, I think if I can help even one person – or a hundred – get out of the state I found myself in at one point in my life, that’s all that matters,” he said on the Studio 22 podcast.
