Taylor Swift Distances Herself From Blake Lively

Is the argument between Blake Lively, 37, and Justin Baldoni, 41, destroying her friendship with Taylor Swift, 35? For weeks, the actress has been in a legal dispute with her co-star, which is now also affecting her relationship with the popular singer. Most recently, Baldoni caused a stir when he sued Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, 48, for 400 million dollars (around 384 million euros). Now Swift is reacting herself and distancing herself, as a source revealed to “DailyMail”. 

Taylor Swift Takes A Step Back

The “Blank Space” singer and Lively are actually one and the same. But that may be over for now. As an insider told “DailyMail”, Swift is not exactly thrilled to be such a big part of the dispute. First of all, she was disturbed by the actress’s text message to the producer, in which she referred to her husband and the musician as her “dragons” and compared herself to the character Khalessi from “Game of Thrones”. This was an “uncool and unnecessary” statement. 

The singer also attended a meeting unexpectedly and was thus involved in the dispute. The megastar was there more by chance because she wanted to visit Lively in New York and the meeting with the actor was still ongoing. Baldoni felt “intimidated” by her presence and Swift is drawing her conclusions. “For now, she is withdrawing from Blake because she does not want to get more involved in the matter than she already has – and that is far more than she ever needed to be,” the anonymous source states. 

Blake Lively Could Damage Taylor’s Image

Even though Taylor Swift would certainly support her friend in many situations, she doesn’t want to go along with everything. She also has to think about herself and her image, as a second source explains to the news site. “She is aware of what this does to her image and hates that she was even mentioned,” is the person’s conclusion. How the friendship between the two women will continue now remains to be seen. However, public appearances at football games will certainly be a long time coming.
