First thing Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to share the news of the exciting partnership. In the images, the entrepreneur posed in pieces from the upcoming capsule, including a matching sheer bra and tights set, an olive green bodysuit with a coordinating puffer jacket, as well as a brown and black bodysuit—all of which are detailed with both of the brand’s names. The debut marks an exciting foray into luxury shapewear and is the first major collaboration for the SKIMS brand.
When does FENDI x SKIMS Come Out?
“The idea for the collaboration came about when my team and I were sitting around a table at the studio in Rome,” Jones says in the press release. “Suddenly, all the women went silent and started looking at their phones. I didn’t know what was going on, but they were waiting for the launch of the new SKIMS collection. It was then that I thought: let’s do something together.”
The collaboration iterates upon sketches from an archival, Karl Lagerfeld-era FENDI collection. The presentation, which took place in 1979, featured twisted tube tops, pops of color, and tight sashes—all of which are channeled in this up-and-coming capsule. We’re expecting everything from signature cotton essentials to neon iterations of SKIMS most-loved pieces. There will also be more ready-to-wear options such as leggings and dresses.
How Much Does FENDI x SKIMS Cost?
This is the first major design partnership for SKIMS, but the designer element means that the line won’t be priced like the rest of SKIMS’ affordable offerings. For starters, the body-hugging dresses and tops will begin at $950, while the leggings ring in at $1,110. Then there’s the puffer jacket, which has a price tag of $2,950—so save up for the most splurge-worthy items.
