Fashion Without Logos: How To Find Your Style Without Following Trends

Let’s take a little trip back in time to the 90s. When the big fashion houses made their name known, the logo was the symbol of exclusivity and luxury. You couldn’t easily see it. It was for the few, for the extremely wealthy or for those who could afford the most expensive, unaffordable pieces . And back then, brands didn’t want to be in the foreground. They were almost hidden in the clothes and accessories.

Yes, big titles and flashy logos are all around us, and fashion often seems to revolve around which brand we wear. But really, do we need all this “label mania” to feel good about our style? Can’t we have style without having branded products? And more specifically, how do we discover our true sense of style without wasting half our salary on brands that have the same effect on everyone?

The Power of the Logo: How Did We Get Here?

But along the way, something changed. Brands decided to make noise and come forward.
French Connection ’s “fcuk” became a hit, creating a stir and reactions, while
Juicy Couture ’s velvet tracksuits became symbols of luxury worn by everyone from
Paris Hilton to Britney Spears . And just like that, fashion became a game of brands and logos that we all had to follow in order to feel like we belonged somewhere.

Influencers and the New Power of Logos

And if you think this craze is only for big fashion houses, you’re wrong. Today, influencers are the new kings of fashion, and brands are paying big bucks to see them showcase their hottest looks. Between sponsored posts and “try-on haul” videos , fashion is a constant search for the next flashy piece of clothing we need to own to show we know what’s trending. But is this making us feel further and further removed from our true sense of style?

How to Find Our Own Style

When we focus only on trends and logos, we lose something much more important: our personal identity. So instead of chasing the next “it-brand”, let’s see what really suits us. Because, the real “stylish” happiness is when we find the pieces that make us feel great. Without having to follow every new trend.

Our Allies: The Classic Pieces

Finding your personal style doesn’t mean throwing away logos and trends. It means focusing on the basics, the timeless pieces that you’ll wear again and again. Without having to constantly buy new ones. A good, black cardigan, a classic pair of jeans, a shirt that highlights you are the right accessories to give your personal touch to every outfit.

When we stop following the logo craze, the world of individuality and freedom in fashion opens up before us.
