Rudenko assured that the decisions at the Alliance summit will not contribute to “anything good”, as they are aimed at the further escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.
The Russian deputy minister, who was part of the negotiating team at the talks with Kiev in March 2022, mentioned that new contacts with Ukraine will be possible when the country “will be prepared and adopt a realistic position”.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said at the NATO summit in Washington that the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine is underway and will be completed this summer.
Blinken announced that F-16 fighter jets, manufactured in the United States and donated by Denmark and the Netherlands, “will fly in the skies of Ukraine this summer“, a message to which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky quickly responded, thanking on his account on the X platform.
Russia has warned in the past that the arrival of F-16 fighter jets in Ukraine would be seen as a challenge by the United States and NATO, regardless of whether or not the planes have the capability to carry nuclear weapons.
