To reveal the best version of yourself, there’s nothing like taking a moment just for you each week. To simplify this quest for well-being, George V Magazine has selected the must-visit beauty experiences in the capital… and beyond. This week, we’re heading to the Maison du Tui Na where an oil massage promises to boost circulation and release all accumulated tension.
Who is it for? For those still feeling the effects of the heat: sluggish circulation, fragmented sleep , heavy legs… After a heatwave, the body doesn’t just need rest. It needs to be revitalized deep down. Combining gentle detoxification with an energy boost, this massage acts as a physiological reset.

The duration: between 55 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes. While one hour is enough to revive the major areas of post-heatwave stagnation : neck, trapezius muscles, back, legs, the longer format allows for better circulation of fluids and tension accumulated by the heat.
Level of letting go: 10/10
Account of the experience: Once settled on the massage table, the ritual begins with long, flowing movements that spread the warm oil over the skin. The hands alternate between gliding strokes, deep pressure, kneading, and stretching. The trapezius muscles, often stiff from hours spent in front of a screen, gradually give way under the practitioner’s thumbs. The lower back relaxes. The legs, sometimes heavy—especially after a heatwave—gain a feeling of lightness.
Here, the oil completely changes the perception of traditional Tui Na. While the classic version favors firm pressure and sometimes very dynamic mobilizations, this variation adds a more sensory dimension.
Throughout the protocol, work is done primarily on the main meridians of the back and legs, with particular attention paid to the pathways of the bladder, kidney and gallbladder meridians, which are often used to release deep tensions and boost overall circulation…
What makes the difference: many massages—relaxing but too light—aren’t enough to “reprogram” the body. Tui Na oil massage truly strikes the right balance: deep drainage without any harshness. Another important point: the practitioner naturally adjusts the depth of pressure, emphasizing certain areas of tension or lightening the touch according to each individual’s needs.
In the mirror (and in the head): No more overheating , the body appears lighter, tensions disappear and the body moves with more fluidity for a few hours — or even several days.
