The “Morning Show” star has five namesake scents that she’s bottled up over the years as well as a recently launched hair-care line, LolaVie, which is also blessed with her favorite aromas. We’ve rounded up the actress’s favorite fragrances over the years along with inside intel as to why she likely deems them worthy.
Meet the expert
- Chris Salgardo is a beauty expert and CEO of ATWATER skin care.
- Jeniece Trizzino is a perfumer and vice president of product development and innovation for Scentbird, a designer fragrance subscription service.
“These fragrances speak volumes about Jennifer Aniston—someone who clearly knows what she likes,” says Chris Salgardo, beauty expert who has overseen beauty brand launches by Chanel, Shu Uemura, and more. “To the carefree spirit of Beach Scape and beyond, her scent choices reflect her unique personalities and styles and every fragrance tells a story and becomes a part of her personal narrative.”
Near Dusk by Jennifer Aniston Body Spray
Originally launched in 2015, Near Dusk by Jennifer Aniston ($26) features notes of jasmine, coconut water and musk. “Near Dusk feels like a warm summer evening, with a mix of jasmine’s floral depth and the tropical sweetness of coconut water,” shares Salgardo. “The musk gives it a sensual finish that makes it perfect for those twilight moments when the sun is just about to set—it’s seductive yet understated.” According to Aniston a lot of her scents, like this one, have “a California beach girl vibe” so it’s no surprise that this fragrance likely goes hand in hand as the end of day alternative to her Beach Scape scent. “If Beach Scape is the beach first thing in the morning fragrance, then this scent evokes the beach at twilight because it’s warm and sensual and really lovely,” says perfumer Jeniece Trizzino. “I genuinely love this fragrance —it’s sexy and sensual and so, so yummy—and I personally pick up on a lot of coconut, jasmine, vanilla and warm skin musk notes, which are all things I love.”
Kai Perfume Oil
“A staple among the celebrity set (along with Aniston, Naomi Watts, Julia Roberts and Reese Whitherspoon or all fans), Kai’s Perfume Oil ($54) free from parabens, sulfates and other nasties, making it as clean as it is beautiful,” Salgardo says. “With notes of gardenia and white exotic florals, this is fresh, breezy and effortlessly chic—it’s like stepping into a tropical paradise right after a rainstorm,” he adds. “The gardenia gives it that signature floral punch but it’s soft and wearable, perfect for someone who loves a laid-back, carefree vibe.”
The 1999 launch of this one-of-a-kind roll on revolutionized the fragrance world and it turns out Aniston’s approach to scent as well as she has long touted the natural eau as her go-to. And fragrance pros agree: “This is actually one of my personal favorites because I am a white floral gal through and through—it features notes of pikake which is also known as Arabian jasmine, as well as gardenia, plumeria and tuberose and has a subtle sweetness and a hint of green,” says Trizzino. “This scent smells expensive and elegant and is both intimate and inviting, perfect for leaving a gentle impression without being overwhelming.”
Beach Scape by Jennifer Aniston Fragrance Mist
“I have been and continue to be a fan of Beach Scape by Jennifer Aniston ($19) since its launch back in 2016—it’s fresh, yet warm at the same time,” says Trizzino. “It reminds me of walking on the beach first thing in the morning because you have the crisp, fresh ocean air mingling with the warm sand and a hint of driftwood in the background—there is literally nothing not to like because it’s an easy, everyday scent.” Salgardo agrees that this fragrance mist is Aniston personified: “This fragrance feels like an extension of Jennifer’s lifestyle—relaxed, approachable, and effortlessly beautiful,” he says. “It’s light, breezy, and carefree, reflecting Aniston’s own love of the ocean and the simple beauty of coastal living.”
The Tragedy of Lord George
On the red carpet of the 2024 Golden Globes, Emma Stone fangirling over Aniston’s scent went viral and it’s rumored that she was wearing The Tragedy of Lord George ($315). According to Salgardo, “it’s no surprise that Aniston has a love for this bright and vibrant citrus-floral scent.” And she’s not alone—Katie Holmes also lists this as one of her signature scents.
Trizzino shares its an uplifting scent that “opens up with a vibrant top of clementine flower that shimmers over a floral heart of rum, ambrox and tonka bean. A dry down of orris wood and vetiver wrap the scent in a warm embrace,” she says. “This scent evokes feelings of warmth and joy, reminiscent of sunny days and lush gardens. It’s perfect for those who enjoy bright, airy scents that feel both romantic and invigorating.”
Jennifer Aniston by Jennifer Aniston Eau de Parfum
“With notes of citrus grove, rosewater and jasmine, this scent highlights Jennifer’s affinity for simplicity and natural beauty, translating her personal style into a fragrance,” Salgardo explains. As her first ever namesake scent which debuted in 2011, it’s no wonder Jennifer Aniston by Jennifer Aniston Eau de Parfum ($22) is basically Jen Aniston vibes bottled up. “Clean, crisp and sparkling, this fragrance is the equivalent of freshly laundered linens blowing in a soft breeze—the citrus keeps it bright, while the rosewater and jasmine add a soft floral elegance,” says Salgardo. “It’s perfect for everyday wear, making you feel polished without trying too hard.”
Cacharel Anais Anais L’Original Eau de Toilette Spray
“Cacharel’s Anais Anais L’Original Eau de Toilette Spray for Her ($68) is a true classic,” says Salgardo. “It’s a celebration of femininity in all its soft, floral glory—perfect for someone who loves a touch of nostalgia in their fragrance.” Fragrance pros say this is undeniably a favorite fragrance of Aniston because of its vintage vibe and precisely why it’s beloved by perfumers and noses alike.
“Talk about a throwback—anyone who loves fragrance knows this scent—it’s a classic floral fragrance known for its soft, romantic and slightly powdery profile,” says Trizzino. “The scent composition was centered around white lily, a flower regarded as a symbol of purity therefore this dreamy fragrance is comprised of a lush floral bouquet of honeysuckle, white lily and jasmine surrounded by bergamot and delicate warm notes of amber and musk.”
Jennifer Aniston Solstice Bloom Eau de Parfum Spray
Jennifer Aniston’s Solstice Bloom Eau de Parfum Spray ($21) is a “pretty woody floral scent that is both lovely and delicate,” says Trizzino. On trend with most of the other Aniston sensorial concoctions, Trizzino says that “this fragrance evokes a serene, beachy atmosphere, channeling the calm and beauty of a day at the coast because it blends floral and woody notes to create an ethereal, light scent reminiscent of a sunny afternoon where sand meets greenery.”
