The businessman bought Bucklebury Farm Park for nearly $2 million—now, the lodge is available for events.
A few years ago, Kate Middleton’s brother-in-law bought Bucklebury Farm Park, a 70-acre farm and petting zoo in the Royal County of Berkshire, for nearly $2 million. Now, according to the park’s Instagram page, the site is available to book for “birthday parties, corporate events, yoga sessions, pilates, and so much more.”
The rustic-chic residence is perched on lush grounds, overlooking a river. Based on the park’s website, the venue has three rooms, including a full kitchen and spacious bathroom. The interior boasts wooden beams and a log burner, the coziest ambience to celebrate your nuptials. There’s also an outdoor deck to snap photos and enjoy the scenery as you get ready for your vow exchange. The Berkshire property has been undergoing renovations, so all of the amenities will likely be new and improved for the festivities.
The lodge also offers a range of services to make planning your affair seamless. Per the website, the venue provides onsite catering, ideal for your appetizers and main meal, and it has onsite parking for anyone who is driving to the destination. Since yoga and pilates are some of the proposed activities, you and your wedding party can even start your morning with feel-good exercise.
If you’re in luck, there’s a slight possibility you could catch a royal sighting. The royal family has a long history of visiting the farm and park. According to the publication, when Prince George was younger, the petting zoo was one of his favorites, so his grandmother would often take him on outings to visit the animals.
Note that the venue is only open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., so if you’re thinking about hosting your big day at the lodge, you’ll probably want to opt for a daytime wedding. To book the venue, fill out the form on the website.
