The famous 80s model met comedy writer Jeff Greenstein through a dating app in January 2023, three years after the death of her first husband, Ric Ocasek, and fell in love all over again. Now, the beautiful Czech woman and the American have added the finishing touch to their late-in-life romance and said “I do” in Italy. Her dress is truly something special.

In an interview with Vogue after the ceremony, the 80s supermodel says: “I wanted to look better than ever before […] But better than ever at 61. Not at any other age.” And she succeeded! The Czech model was apparently inspired by her signature cool hair color for her wedding dress. On her wedding day, the supermodel shone in silver from head to toe. The bridal couture label “House of Gilles” is responsible for the look. Designer Gilles Mendel explains on Instagram: “She came to us with a vision of a dress whose color couldn’t be precisely described and that should be as fluid as water.”

The light gray silk dress, just a few shades away from classic bridal white, lends Paulina’s wedding look a very personal touch. Besides the unconventional color, the mature model’s wedding dress features a deep, sleeveless neckline that extends to her ribs and is adorned with small horizontal gathers. Further photos reveal that the floor-length, pleated skirt is actually completely transparent, kept opaque only through the clever layering. Underneath the dress, the bride wears a nude bodysuit and silver strappy stilettos. A floor-length veil completes the ethereal, cascading look.
The beauty look is also carefully thought out.
Of course, a truly perfect wedding look includes more than just the dress; hair and makeup play an equally important role. But even in this area, Paulina Porizkova wanted to simply enhance her natural beauty on her big day. She wore her world-famous gray strands loose in gentle waves, cascading down her back. At the subsequent party in a villa on Lake Orta, she had them tied back in a loose bun. The 61-year-old accentuated her face with a cool, pink blush on her cheeks and a semi-matte lipstick. She applied only a light coat of mascara to her lashes, opting instead for adhesive lash extensions and a volumizing eyeliner.
Porizkova herself later admitted to being surprised by how deeply she immersed herself in the wedding preparations: “When I first got married, I was 23,” she said. “I just got up, put on makeup, and that was completely normal. Not that it mattered to Jeff, but I just wanted to feel good and look my best. When you get married at 61, you have to put in a bit more effort to look and feel that way.” This meant natural makeup and a new pre-wedding workout routine. “I used to lift weights twice a week and maybe do Pilates and aerobics afterward,” the model revealed about her previous training. “But before the wedding, I decided to really step it up. I lifted weights three times a week and also did Pilates and aerobics, so I was working out six days a week.” Wow!
It’s not just the wedding dress that’s unconventional.
The couple’s wedding took place far from the public eye in northern Italy, a deliberate contrast to the usual celebrity spectacles that typically dominate the headlines. There was no wedding photographer; instead, two friends of Paulina and Jeff took photos throughout the ceremony, which were later posted on the Instagram account “Vogue Weddings.” Fans on social media raved: “A perfect wedding” and “You’ve rekindled the romantic in me.”
