Rhode, the beauty brand created by Hailey Bieber, is launching Butter Balm, an intensive moisturizing balm to boost skin’s hydration deep down overnight. Claudia Schiffer, the iconic supermodel of the 90s, has been chosen to be the face of this campaign, unveiled on October 8th. With over a thousand magazine covers to her name, she is now one of the biggest icons in the fashion industry. At 54, she takes on a new role as ambassador for the relatively new—but already famous—Rhode brand, which has previously featured younger models like Candice Swanepoel and Jasmine Tookes.
“ I am thrilled to be the face of @rhode’s new skincare product, the Barrier Butter. The perfect addition to my nighttime routine for deep hydration. I can’t wait for you all to try it! Barrier Butter arrives on October 28th at 9am ,” the model even rejoiced in a post published on her Instagram account.
Butter Balm: a new trendy product?
Well-known for its trendy products like tinted lip balms and matching smartphone cases, the brand expanded its product range in 2024 with the launch of its first makeup product, Pocket Blush, in June and a cleanser in January. Now, the brand returns with Butter Balm, a product designed to strengthen the skin barrier overnight and lock in moisture for 24 hours to restore the skin’s natural softness and bounce.
At the heart of this formula, available on the Rhode website, are 13 ingredients , including a hyaluronic acid complex, PGA, and murumuru butter to boost hydration on multiple levels and support firmer, plumper skin over time. “ Use the barrier butter before bed to revive dry skin and wake up with a radiant glow ,” the brand recommends on its Instagram account. Because “ when your barrier doesn’t have the proper hydration it needs, it can accentuate the appearance of fine lines. Our gentle yet effective formula is clinically proven to improve skin hydration and reduce the appearance of fine lines ,” Rhode adds. And because this product is versatile, it can be applied to both the face and drier areas of the body like hands, elbows, and knees. So, you’ll still need to be patient to replicate Claudia Schiffer’s beauty routine.
