With a list of celebrities that does not ask anything of the MET Gala, designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana opened the heart of their home and showed the artistry of their designs.
The fashion empire celebrated its 40th anniversary with a spectacular exhibition that shows, for the first time, the house’s archives, the connection of its designs with art, the importance of craftsmanship and much more.
The exhibition Dolce & Gabbana: Form the Hands to the Heart (or in Italian: Dal Cuore Alle Mani: Dolce & Gabbana) will be open to the public from April 7 to July 31, 2024, at the Palazzo Reale, Milan, Italy .
The history of Dolce & Gabbana
The Italian fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana was created in Legnano, Italy, in 1985. Its founders are designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. The couple began by creating clothing, but currently have a line of accessories, perfumes, makeup, and even alliances with household appliance brands.
“ I believe that Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are among the couturiers most inspired by Italian culture and art, and they are the ones who most faithfully represent them. The exhibition pays tribute to all these narratives, to everything that constitutes the cultural wealth of Italy . It also proves one thing: that the past is not dead ”, Florence Müller, curator of the exhibition.
It is an open love letter to Italian culture that celebrates two of its most important exponents Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana , from the origins of the house, through the extraordinary creative process of the designers and, of course, the most spectacular fashion and jewelry.

The opening of the Dolce & Gabbana exhibition was an event of great elegance and style, where the iconic figures of Helen Mirren, Demi Moore and Kitty Spencer, niece of Princess Diana, stood out.
Helen Mirren wore an elegant black dress with a V-neck, high waist and long sleeves, covered in sequins. Her straight gray hair completed her classic and refined look.
